According to the North Carolina DOT the Interstate is now open to traffic.

The North Carolina DOT says the right lane of Interstate 26 will remain closed in Polk County until Tuesday afternoon following an accident.
One lane of I-26 westbound is closed near Saluda, North Carolina.
An accident involving a tractor trailer occurred early Tuesday morning near exit 61, which is west of Columbus.
The tractor trailer is laying on it's side and some of the load has spilled. NCDOT does not expect the lane to re-open until later in the morning.
Officials say motorists should expect delays and may wish to use alternate routes.
