A Greenwood Police officer remains on the job following a Monday night crash involving a patrol car.
Chief Gerald Brooks tells 7 On Your Side 24-year old John Leopard is still working but is not allowed to drive a city vehicle until the investigation into the wreck is complete.
It's unsure at this time how long the investigation will take.
South Carolina Highway Patrol investigators say Leopard was driving southbound on North Street when he ran off the right side of the road and struck a house. They say nobody was at home at the time of the accident and nobody was injured.
An accident report shows Leopard was responding to a call of a fight in progress when he crashed.
Leopard is recovering from a scrape to the forearm and some bumps and bruises according to police.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a wreck in the city of Greenwood involving a police officer.
Lance Cpl. Bill Rhyne said that the wreck happened at 9 p.m. on North Street.
According to Rhyne, 24-year old John Leopard, of Greenwood, was driving a 2008 Crown Victoria southbound on North Street when he ran off the right side of the road and struck a house. Rhyne said that nobody was at home at the time of the accident and nobody was injured.
The accident remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
Rhyne could not comment on the employment status of the officer, but City of Greenwood officials confirm that Leopard is employed with the Greenwood City Police Department.
