A Greenville County man has been sentenced to prison for kidnapping and domestic violence.
Larry Dale Simpson, 50, was sentenced to six years for aggravated domestic violence and 20 years, suspended to upon the completion of six years and probation to run concurrently.
The 13th Circuit Solicitor says Simpson pleaded guilty Wednesday in an incident in Marietta on February 18, 2011.
Simpson was at the home of his live-in girlfriend when he forced her out of the residence after hitting her with a large stick and ordered her to go with him after he showed what she believed was a semi automatic pistol.
Greenville County Sheriff’s Office deputies say it turned out to be a BB gun.
Deputies arrested Simpson after figuring out the weapon was a BB gun.
