Greenville County Council unanimously passed the first reading to an incentive laden agreement involving Ionic Technologies.
The agreement allows Greenville County to execute a fee-in-lieu of tax agreement with Ionic Technologies for a project that involves no less than $10 million dollars. Under the agreement, certain conditions would be met by both the county and company in regards to the project.
As part of the agreement an inducement and millage rate agreement between the county and the company. Additionally, Greenville County will assist Ionic Technologies with all zoning permitting and land use planning decisions necessary for the construction, occupancy and use of the project as a manufacturing and heating facility.
County Council will have a second reading at its next meeting in March.
