A Henderson County resident leveled several more allegations of misconduct against the Sheriff's Office during a commissioners' meeting Tuesday evening, according to our news coverage partners at the Hendersonville Times-News.
The newspaper reports that Tom Hill, of Zirconia, accused the department of improper and illegal conduct and saying he wants more investigation. Near the end of the meeting, Henderson County Commissioner Mike Edney told the audience that Hill “crossed the line” of proper use of the informal public comments forum by making such accusations without proof.
Hill brought the controversy surrounding Sheriff Rick Davis into spotlight when he addressed commissioners about the matter Dec. 5. The Times-News reports that Hill spoke once again at the beginning of Monday's meeting and presented a letter addressed to commissioners that outlines six specific accusations of improper and illegal conduct against the Sheriff's Office.
The allegations are in addition to the rumored sexual harassment case involving Davis and a female sheriff's deputy.
