Going into next weekend's South Carolina GOP presidential primary, how many of those who plan to vote are still undecided?
A poll last month put the figure at nearly seventy percent.
A more recent poll says only seven percent are undecided.
Friday night 1/13, the Spartanburg and Greenville County Republican Parties held a candidate forum at Byrnes High School in Duncan for voters to have their questions answered.
Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum were the only candidates appearing.
They hit South Carolina's hot-button issues.
Santorum: "With respect to illegal immigration, I'm someone who believes you simply enforce the law. And the law is that the borders should be secure, and people shouldn't be allowed to cross. And we will build whatever fence, and we will deploy whatever technology or whatever personnel that's necessary..."
Gingrich: "Among the directions I will issue on the first day, about two hours after being inaugurated, will be an instruction to the attorney general to drop the lawsuit in South Carolina on voting, and instruction to the attorney general to drop all three lawsuits about illegal immigration." Gingrich was referring to federal challenges of South Carolina laws on voter identification and illegal immigration.
All the GOP presidential candidates were invited to Friday's forum.
South Carolina Congressmen Trey Gowdy (Fourth District) and Jeff Duncan (Third District) were moderators. Bob McLain of WORD Radio was Master of Ceremonies.
