Deputies in Henderson County are investigating reports of 16 car break-ins early Saturday morning.
Investigators believe the crimes were committed by someone on foot and the left the area by stealing a vehicle from 34 Leslie Way. The stolen vehicle is described as Silver colored 2001 Saturn LS 200. When the vehicle was stolen it North Carolina license plate # ZVK-3537 on it. This vehicle also has a dent in the left rear fender and it has a tow hitch attached to the front.
Information from the sheriff's office states the vehicles were unlocked and items such as I-Pods, Portable CD players and compact discs, tools, and money were stolen.
Deputies say the thefts took place from the following areas in Eastern Henderson County, Leslie Way, Old Sunset Hill Road, Adele’s Way, Nettie Way and Marble Court.
