The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the assault and robbery of a pregnant woman.
Captain Scott White of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies received a call at 1:14 Thursday afternoon in reference to an armed robbery at a home at 3103 Powdersville Road in Easley. Once on scene, deputies found a pregnant woman who had been physically assaulted.
The woman told deputies that two white males, both appearing to be in their teens, kicked open the door to the home, assaulted her and stole her car. White said that the men took the woman’s 1999 Buick Century and fled in an unknown direction of travel.
The woman suffered minor injuries and had to be transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital.
White said the incident is under investigation and it is not known whether the woman knew her attackers or not.
