The fifth annual Powerful Women's Summit in Greenville County turned out to be a rousing success.
Over 100 young ladies attended the event, which allows successful business women from various communities throughout the upstate, to speak about their careers, empower young girls and give advices about life and career experiences. The girls moved from table-to-table to listen and talk to the women. For Kelsey Vogt, it was a fun experience.
"It was fun to talk with them about what they love about their job, what they like doing, why they want to do it and why they enjoy it so much," said Vogt.
For Deborah Harris of Michelin North America, just the opportunity to speak to the young ladies and empower them makes the event worthwhile.
"I'd want them to remember that they can do anything they really focus and set their minds to do," Harris said. "If they stay focused, they'll get it all done. Have a goal, keep in mind what that goal is and try not to be distracted by all the peer pressure and things that are out their today to put them off track."
