Legal Lessons: A Series for the Public offered to Upstate residents

Classes will take place at Greenville Technical College located at 216 S. Pleasantburg Dr. in Greenville. The schedule is as follows:

· March 6 — overview of state courts and alternative dispute resolution
· March 13 — juvenile justice and overview of child protection hearings
· March 20 — family law; real estate and landlord/tenant law
· March 27 — wills, estates and probate; health care and elder law
· April 3 — S.C. workers’ compensation and employment law
· April 10 — bankruptcy law; consumer law and debt collection
· April 17 — criminal law and torts

The deadline to enroll is Tuesday, Feb. 29. The cost of the seven-week course is $45 and includes course materials. To register, call (864) 250-8800 or visit www.gvltec.edu. For all other questions, contact the S.C. Bar Pro Bono Program at (803) 799-6653, ext. 158.
