Confused Values

It is illegal to fight dogs or roosters as it should be. Yet the BiLo Center is hosting "cage fights" between human beings that is no more than the same type fights between dogs and roosters. Have I missed something? Have we become so base as a society that we see this blood sport as entertaining? Have dogs and roosters become more important than humans? How does the media miss bringing to mind the downward spiral of a community that will outlaw fights between animals, yet they will promote the fights of two people fighting in a cage in front of any age person?
The downward spiral isn't just reflected in this arena, but television programing like "Two and a Half Men" or "Family Man" being shown durnig the early hours of the evening when children are watching also reflects a sad story of what we are becoming as a society. Then there is the crimes that are on the increas of murder and other cruel acts against old and homeless people. Lets not forget the sexual activity taking place between students and teachers. The focus by the media is on the juicey gossip aspect of the story. What about the confused values of the adults and young people involved in these events that make up the news? What is really behind the downward spiral of a society's moral values? Oh lets not bring the absents of God into the picture that would be politically incorrect and besides we might offend the ACLU. There is nothing "civil" about this group.
What must happen before we stop and reevaluate ourselves and what we have allowed to overwhelm what we know is decent and honorable? Or have we lost our sense of what is right and wrong? The decent values of our nation are being devoured by absolute filth because we as a community will not stand up against being "politically correct" which is hog wash that is destroying our values. Adults this is not about politics, it is about our failure to stand for what we know is decent and moral. We are petting the dragon and allowing him to destroy our nation in the name of entertainment and false comedy. What is funny about families bickering with each other? What is entertaining about some chef screaming and cussing at others in a kitchen? How is it right to pay a football coach millions when we can not even help decent teachers with the expense of setting up their classrooms? We can support athletics making millions while we can not meet the cost of keeping a decent fire department or pay a reasonable salary to our police force. We gripe about our kids failing to learn while all the time we find that it is more important to spend our time having fun and watching television than it is to spend time help them with homework. If we are not teaching values to our children you can bet the world of sex and crime is. And we wonder why our kids struggle with confuse values. What are they supposed to have faith in we adults take decent values away from them? How are our kids supposed to learn what America is and how it became such a great nation when we fail to protect the truth behind the faith our founding father had in the beginning? The downward spiral stops with each person, not with this group or that group, but with you individually.
