Missing North Carolina Child Found Safe Friday

Chesney is 2’6” tall, weighs 30 pounds and has shoulder-length, straight red hair.  She was wearing yellow pajamas.

The 3-year-old girl reported abducted in Sampson County and her mother are both safe in police custody in Aiken, South Carolina, according to the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials told a wspa.com sister site, wncn.com, they have warrants on the mother for abduction and officers are en route to pick up the child and the mother right now.

Officials issued an Amber Alert after receiving reports that 3-year-old Chesney Anne Gaskin was abducted by her mother, 24-year-old Danielle Star Simpson.

According to the alert, Gaskin was taken from her grandparents, who have full custody of her. The alert was cancelled after the child and mother were found.
