Robbery Attempted At Rite Aid In Spartanburg

A Rite Aid on Pine Street in Spartanburg was robbed Monday morning, according to reports from Spartanburg Public Safety.

They told us that at around 9:15am that a man with a gun came in and demanded money.

The clerk on duty told him she needed to talk to a manager, according to police.

The man then fled.

No customers were inside and no one was hurt.

Police are looking for the suspect described as a black man in his 40s, wearing tan shorts, a camouflage shirt and a tan hat.

I feel with the economy in a bad fix there will be a lot of senseless robbery attempts
