Close to 20 patrol cars from three agencies, crowded a crash scene early this morning, after an 8 mile chase came ot an end, just off highway 29 near the Westview Fairforest Fire Department.

A car carrying three suspects crashed into a vacant building just before midnight, deputies told News Channel 7’s Amy Wood.

The car crashed into a corner of the building located at 7750 Franklin Avenue, a vacant business in a strip mall not far from the Hobby Lobby and Kohls shopping center, near Westgate Mall.  Officers told Amy the chase stayed on highway 29, for 7 to 8 miles.

It’s not clear why officers from Wellford started pursuing the suspects, but once the chase was on, officers got a call about stolen beer from a local store.

And after the crash, officers recovered four cases of bud light in the vehicles.

The names of the suspects arrested are not yet available.

Wellford Spartanburg County and the State Highway Patrol were all on the scene.

Here’s video Amy shot of two suspects at the scene.
