Exclusive: “Swinger” Parties Coming To Spartanburg Saturday Night

Swapping sex partners. Its called “swinging”. Potentially hundreds are scheduled to gather to take part at 2 local hotels, and not everyone is happy about it.
The parties are scheduled to take place at the Spartanburg Radisson, and the Country Hearth Inn, according to organizers and advertisements for both events. Both hotels are off of business interstate-85.
The Xanadu Club’s website, asks ladies to dress sensuously, when they and others gather tomorrow night.
The club’s organizer confirmed to NewsChannel 7 that their “swinger” event will be taking place saturday night at Spartanburg County’s Country Hearth Inn. About 40 couples are expected to attend. “Swinging” means swapping intimate partners.
But get this: We’ve learned another group, that calls its self South Carolina’s hottest, sexiest lifestyle club, will be partying right across the street at a hotel thats not identified by the group, but who’s pictures are posted on their site. It’s clearly the Spartanburg Radisson.
That party is being hosted by the Foothills Club.
Their site says they expect 150 sexy seductive hot couples to take over the hotel.
What they are advertising is perfectly legal, and would be done in the privacy of hotel rooms.
But the radisson for one, is the same hotel that caters to local church groups. And its got pastors like Rev. Mike Hamlet of First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg, upset.
“We are shocked and saddened..this conduct has come to spartanburg county. we are outraged…a hotel who we have done business with would partner with a group…so diametrically opposed to the values of our community.“
He says its not about infringing on rights.
“We are not judging these people.“
But he says the public venues are unacceptable.
“The problem is not with the people..they are not our enemy…the hotels have a responsibility to the community.“
We went to the Country Hearth Inn to see if the manager was aware Xanadu was staying there. She denied they were.
We also walked into the Radisson, where the manager told us because of privacy policies he couldn’t confirm or deny the Foothills Club was staying there.
Organizers for both events didn’t want to talk on camera for our report.
But the organizer for the Foothills Club told us over the phone, its simply a dance party taking place this weekend, and refused to comment on the more “intimate” details we found on his site.
As of now, the parties are still on.

JameyzGrl, you are only doing yourself a disservice by expressing your poorly spelled, barely legible message of hate. My God is a God of love and forgiveness, if yours is not, perhaps you have chosen the wrong one. FWIW, neither myself nor anyone I personally know has ever caught even so much as a cold as a result of parties such as this.
Please do us all a favor and crawl back into whatever backwards, puritanical hole out of which you came.
one more thing, no one really cares about old news. this is old news. nothing surprising and exciting about the spreading of infedelity and std’s in hotels anyway. happens everyday. THE END
your exactly right, EVERYONE is entitled the their opinion…and it is my opinion that if you don’t want to be judged or have people who do not have to “swing around” to be happy or pass judgement on you—don’t advertise yourself. you know as well as i do that you are setting your ownself up for dissapointment in that department. God’s judgement is ultimatly the only one that counts, and no he does not forgive murderer’s.. once his commanments are broken. “Thalt Shalt Not Kill” you should study the commandments if you do believe before you lay down with another knowing that you were married before God. I’m not judging..just saying what the rest of the world is too afraid to say…putting the facts out there.

and aids doessn’t come from just hotels. you need to get your facts straight.
the lord forgives rapest & murders so how do you know he won’t forgive others. it is not for you to judge us or anyone else.
and to let u know it is your every day common folks and higher class folks that comes to these parties..teachers, principals, doctors, lawyers, law officers, judges, and yes even ministers has been to parties.
just cause someone goes to a party doesn’t mean they are necessarly doing anything wrong other than making new friends. YOu know its better than going to a bar…...
so don’t judge us, you need to judge your own back yard and your own home. and to assume that ones husband is not happy or a wife, that is totally wrong on your behalf…....
people need to worry more about this country, the goverment, and keeping religion in this country….it was formed on god…..

if you were married before God, and you believe in what you read in your Bible, then honey, I’m not the one who needs to learn from my mistakes…I’m not sleeping around in crack hotels just to excite someone else!!!!! If your husband isn’t enough for you then you shouldn’t have married him….or if you are the one who isn’t enough..then maybe he shouldn’t have married you!!

what these people do is nothing wrong. why are you picking on them so badly. unless you have been to a party or halfway interested why would you even go and try to see any of this. and hotels offers group rates to any large size groups. this is a free country last I knew.
These parties and lifestyle has been around for years…...and they are not going to go away.
like one other person said, divorce rate is very low in the lifestyle. the bible says thou should not committ adultery. adultery is when peopl cheat and sneak around. how many folks do that outside of the lifestyle? ALOT! Go pick on them and publize thier life before you pick on something you know nothing about or don’t even began to know about.
Just cause a hotel hosts an event doesn’t mean it is being wrong or degrading to the community.
And as far as folks saying they wouldn’t go there and pay for bussiness after and event like that…..well how many quickes and cheaters as they call it do you think go and sleep there in those beds…..and besides that what about married couples traveling and doing thier own things in a room? You sleep behind them and your kids….Grow up…

Grow up folks….Leave them alone…And get on with your own life…....Gee worry about jobs, living, and the country more than a group of swingers…......I know lots of folks in the lifestyle…...and they consist of your everyday people and by the way…...I have even heard of your minsters being at a party…...so stop nickpicking…....and worry about goverment and stuff like that more than this…......i would rather know more about that then to hear all this nonsense….......
You couldn’t pay ME $50.00 to stay a night in one of those nasty beds after that “hoopla of a FUNK fest”!!
doesn’t surprise me one bit! infact if my memory serves me right, employees can’t even get a room for that rate…unless ofcourse you’re scheduled to work double shifts 2 days in a row with no time for a drive home or time to actually get any sleep if you did drive home….i worked many double shifts for Radisson and watched management take all the credit for the long hours and hard work that myself and others put in while management and department heads weren’t even there to see us workin our as*es off!! oh, and anyone that worked there can’t go to the radisson just to be there or it is called “trespassing” but yet they advertise swinger parties and actually connect themselves with a trashy place like the country hearth inn….i’m sooooooooooo not surprised!!!
