US SENATE PROFILE: LINDSEY GRAHAM

Incumbent Republican Senator from Third Congressional District.  Running against Democratic challenger Bob Conley.

Elected to the US Senate in 2002.  Elected to the US House of Representatives in 1994.

Grew up in Central.  Graduated from Daniel High School and the University of South Carolina.

Assigned overseas as an Air Force lawyer from 1984-1988.  In 1989, joined the SC National Guard.

Only US Senator currently serving in the Guard or Reserves.

First Republican elected to South Carolina’s Third Congressional District to serve in Washington since 1877.

Lives in Seneca, attends Corinth Baptist Church.
