The Hendersonville Trolley Company started service at 11 a.m. today in front of the Historic Courthouse.

Third Avenue and Main Street
Fifth Avenue and Main Street
Sixth Avenue and Main Street
Waverly and Claddagh Inns on Eighth Avenue
Seventh Avenue, Historic Train Depot
Louis Williams Hardware/City Tire
Park and Ride at the China Sea restaurant parking lot

About 15 people were on hand for the trolley send off in front of the courthouse. The trolley will continue to run for the month of June. The cost to ride is 25 cents.

Downtown merchant Eva Ritchey, the chief trolley advocate, says the company has raised enough money from private sources to conduct a trial run during the month of June. She did not say where the donations came from.

The trolley itself has also been donated for the month of June by owner John Pauwel.
