DTV Coupon Funds Could Run out Before DTV Conversion Date

  If you need a DTV converter box, and you haven’t ordered your converter coupon from the federal government, you might want to get on that.  Funds for the program could run out.
    Here’s the problem…
    Forty-four and half million coupons were ordered.  They are $40 vouchers you can use toward the purchase a converter for your TV.  The agency in charge of them, NTIA thinks that’s enough to sustain the program through January of 2009.  However, the conversion date from analog to DTV is June 12, 2009; and unless congress allots more money. The discount could run dry weeks before that.
