Millions Of Inflatable Baby Floats Recalled

Millions of inflatable baby floats are being recalled.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the voluntary recall on Thursday.

The agency says nearly 4 million inflatable baby floats made by Aqua-Leisure Industries of Massachusetts can tear, causing children to fall into or under the water. Officials say no injuries have been reported. The recalled inflatable baby floats were sold in a variety of styles and colors.

Officials say the products were sold nationwide, including Target, Toys “R” Us, Wal-Mart, Dollar General, K-Mart, Walgreens, Ace Hardware, and Bed, Bath and Beyond from December 2002 through June 2009 for between $8 and $15.

Consumers are urged to stop using these recalled inflatable baby floats immediately and to contact Aqua-Leisure for a full refund.  Call the company toll free at (866)-807-3998.
