Gov. Mark Sanford plans to sign into law a measure on Thursday
that will extend jobless benefits to workers who had begun running
out of weekly state and federal help.

ensures at least seven weeks of federal extended jobless benefits
for South Carolina workers who already had begin losing weekly
checks.
The Legislature made a needed change this week to ensure the
benefits keep coming.
