Greenville Deputies Arrest Purse-Snatching Suspect

The Sheriff’s Office said that after a woman stole a purse from a car at Paddock Club Apartments in Greenville County, deputies arrested a suspect after a search including a helicopter and K-9 unit on Tuesday.

Deputies said that a resident at the apartment reported that while pulling out of a parking space with her windows open a woman reached into her car, stole her purse and fled on foot.

The suspect, described as a black woman wearing a black sweatshirt with writing on it and blue jeans, was arrested shortly after the crime on Tuesday afternoon. Officials haven’t released her identity.
