Investigators Search for Spa. Co. Bank Robber

The Spartanburg Sheriff’s Office is looking for a bank robber.

The First Citizens Bank on Reidville Road was robbed around 2:10 p.m. Monday. 

The suspect is described by investigators as a white male, 40-50 years old, possibly driving a white vehicle and with a dark complexion.  Dan Johnson with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office says the FBI is looking into whether this robbery is related to robberies in Tryon and Charleston.

Former South Carolina House Representative Scott Talley was inside the bank, as it was being robbed.  He told us “fortunately no one was hurt; it was unnerving to say the least but happened so fast.“
