The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office says the Waffle House at 6780 Pottery Road was robbed Monday morning at 2:48am.

Deputies say two men - armed with a handgun and a rifle - stormed into the restaurant and forced the people inside down to the floor. The incident report says the robbers took money from a man’s wallet and the apron of a woman who was working at the business.

One of the suspects took money from the register while the other man tried to enter a room - where the video system is stored - using bolt cutters. The robbers couldn’t get inside that room and left in a gold Toyota.

Those witnesses could only give a limited description of the robbers. One was wearing a white mask with black sunglasses.
