Close To 100 New Jobs Coming To Westminster

The South Carolina Department of Commerce announced that Sandvik, Inc. will expand its facility in Westminster and create 92 new jobs in Oconee County.

"In order to be able to continuously improve efficiency we need skilled, dedicated, and engaged employees in our County. We are very pleased with the support that we get from the Oconee County for our business operations and our future development in the County," says Jaime Herrera, General Manager of Sandvik's Westminster facilities in a written release.

Sandvik, Inc. manufactures products and carbide inserts for the metal cutting industry. These products are used in mechanical engineering, automotive, oil and gas, and aerospace applications.

Sandvik currently employs 342 associates at its Westminster facility.
