The Salvation Army in Greenville is in need of donations for emergency food relief.  More families are going to the food pantry for help.  According to the Salvation Army, the rising gas prices is increasing the burden on local families.  Last year, the Salvation Army helped 2,120 familes with emergency food assistance, according to officials.  Those in need can stop by the food pantry for basic items like canned meat, canned vegetables, rice, pasta, flour and sugar.  To donate, call 235-4803, ext. 17.
