Library Lewdness

Do you know who might be lingering in the stacks at you're public library?
More than one library in the upstate is taking special measures to keep an eye out for those engaging in behavior you'd call X-rated.
At Greenwood's public library, a registered sex offender was cited by police, after a woman and an 11 year old girl claim he starred at them while touching himself; smiling; and licking his lips.
He was found a short time later by officers..who say he told them..he just got out of jail for sexual assault.
He claimed he was browsing books..not people.
It has patrons there on edge.
(Reporter : "Did you ever think people would do something like that in a library?) No, but people crazy."
We found this type of behavior in libraries isn't isolated. Just one example; the executive director of the Greenville Library System tells us, they have dealt with people exposing themselves in the past. They have cameras, plain-clothed security officers and even panic buttons in the public areas to keep patrons safe.
