Published: October 3, 2009
A 17-year old at the South Carolina School For The Deaf and The Blind was arrested and charged with assaulting a school employee.
Jeffrey O’Neil Rogers, of Easley, was arrested on Friday and charged with assault and battery by a student on a school employee.
According to our coverage partners at the Spartanburg Herald-Journal, a 42-year-old male employee of the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind told deputies that he saw Rogers touch another male student on the buttocks Friday morning. The employee said he used sign language to tell Rogers to stop and get back to work.
The employee said Rogers then walked over and thrust his private area into the victim’s face. The employee said he stood up, and Rogers body bumped him before making the sign of a gun with his hand and placing it on the employee’s chin.

i’ll explain lovely liz because not everyone who has a child wants their child at school all day.. like me for instance. i have a job, i swing shifts and would still rather my kids be at home.. if it floats others boats thats fine but i think everyone should have a choice on their childrens lives… i brought them in the world and they are my responsibility and i enjoy my kids. but this issue isnt even about that, its about a disabled person…..
No honey, I am not responsible for your education. If I had to educate every FELIX that came on here…. I would have a busy life.
HOWEVER, It is Sunday, and I am in a good mood. So, I will supply you with some material so you can learn some on your own.

MATT: Mr. Obama is not opening schools after hours so MY kids will have a safe place. And to Lovelyliz…Matt can’t explain, not because you would not understand but because he can never explain himself. All he can do is ramble and rant about anything even slightly political. Then duck when pinned down. Typical for his type.
If I have to Explain… You wouldnt Understand.
to be PC, it is disabled, not “handicapped” so noone is offended by the incorrect term. Also, I do not think the student’s disability has anything to do with these charges, as it is not mentioned, and OBAMA allowing more time at school for children is a good thing, just ask the parents in Anderson 5, no complaints heard yet about the new extended schedules at some schools, research (if you would like proof) shows that structured, supervised activities for minors allows the students to improve?! Look it up, also, isn’t it better for our students to be at school and supervised instead of at home and not supervised, these ectended schedules are being offered at only certain schools, those where there is a high percentage of single parent homes or homes where both parents work, I am sorry but I do not understand how additional structured and supervised activity is bad for the nations youth? Care to explain?
felix.> Handicapped! Really? I dont think jESSIE jACKSON would agree.
Anyway, on a lighter note…. O-bum-a is going to open schools afterhours so your kid will have a “SAFE” place too play. Good luck with that.
