Two people were shot during a robbery and investigators say it may be related to two other robberies in the area.
Just before 10 pm Thursday night, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office says the Li’l Cricket at 6008 White Horse Road was robbed by a hispanic male, who entered the store and allegedly pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. The Sheriff’s Office says the man received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot.
Just three hours later, two men were shot after an armed robbery at the Berea Coin Laundry on Hunts Bridge Road.
The Sheriff’s Office says that an employee at the business told deputies that he was sitting in his car outside of the business when two suspects approached his vehicle and a black male shot him in the upper chest area. A second man was also shot, as the bullet that hit the first victim grazed him. The first victim was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital with what is considered non-life threatening injuries, while the second victim was treated at the scene.
One hour later, the third robbery occurred at The Palms gas station on Easley Bridge Road.
Deputies were told by employees at the gas station that two black males entered the store, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk told deputies that he complied with the suspect’s demands and they fled the business on foot.
The first suspect in the Li’l Cricket robbery is described as a hispanic male, 5’7,“ 150-pounds with black hair and wearing a gray sweatshirt and white bandana or doorag over his face. The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’7’ and 150 pounds with black hair and wearing a red doorag or bandana over his face.
The first suspect in The Palms robbery is described as a black male, wearing a multi-colored sweatshirt, possibly with camoflauge covering his face to his nose, dark baggie blue jeans and black shoes. The second suspect is described as a black male wearing dark baggie blue jeans, black shoes, a dark gray sweatshirt with a long white shirt underneath and a red bandana over his face.
