A Spartanburg man is accused of sexual and physical assault of a paraplegic woman.
Officers say the man was arrested for an incident on Fernwood Glendale Road in Spartanburg.
An incident report states Mickey McAbee is being investigated for assaults over the past 18 months.
Our coverage partners at the Spartanburg Herald Journal report that the victim told police McAbee broke a light fixture over her head as she lay in bed and started to strangle her.
Police say McAbee is the woman’s caretaker.

I wonder the same thing. Was this man kin or just someone they knew. There is no way that I would let anyone take care of my loved on that is helpless to defend theirselves unless that person is family and I trust them. Where is the rest of this ladies family?
