Anderson Man Carjacked, Kidnapped, Beaten by 10 Attackers
An Anderson man says he was carjacked, kidnapped and beaten by ten attackers early Thursday morning after returning from a grocery store.
The man says he was driving a friend’s car back to a home on East Benson Street with groceries for him at 4:10am according to an Anderson Police incident report.
The victim says three men held him up and forced him into the trunk of a 2003 Toyota Camry.
He says he was taken to Hall Street where he was attacked by ten men who punched him and struck him with handguns and chairs. He could only give a brief description of the attackers. One man was refered to as “Trigger Man.“
He was put back in the trunk, until he found the release latch and opened the trunk when the car stopped. The man says he ran away from the car at White Street and George Albert Lake Road.
He says the attackers fired guns at him as he ran away.
The victim asked a gas station attendant to call law officers when he made it to the business at South McDuffie Street and Shockley Ferry Road.
The stolen car is said to be a 2003 white Toyota Camry. The license plate number isn’t available on the incident report.
