A young girl claims she was sexually assaulted, in a library bathroom.
The alleged incident took place at the Anderson County library in downtown Anderson last Thursday.
Police are looking for two young teen boys who they say appear to be involved in the alleged assault.
The circumstances surrounding how it unfolded is still being investigated.
But the victim claims the two boys, around the same age as her, violated her in the bathroom.
Police were called to ANMED Health after the girl sought help. Police then dispatched officers to the scene.
The library says nothing this serious has happened there in recent memory—but illegal activity in a library isn’t anything new.
Faith Line, Executive Director of the Anderson County Library System told us, “Its a public building. Anyone can walk in the doors.“ “We cant really control who comes in until they actually do something.“
In response to the recent incident, the library says they are stepping up security.
They have a guard—and they are going to get new cameras and start locking the bathroom doors.
The library doesn’t want the public to be alarmed—but wants people to be aware of their surroundings.
Police were not able to give a better description of the suspects—only that they are teens around the age of 14.

I’m sorry but this is another of those stories that I am having trouble believing. Personal opinion only.
