The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office says one person has been arrested in the missing Taylors couple.  Matthew Brandon Fullbright, 29, of Belton is now charged with murder and robbery.

Through their investigation, sheriff’s deputies learned the Statons had a meeting with Fullbright Friday night in Anderson County. The Statons were jewelry dealers and investigators believe the meeting was a diversion for a robbery.

Sheriff John Skipper says Fullbright gave deputies info that lead to recovering Mrs. Staton’s body.

Deputies say they believe the crime scene is where Jo Ann Staton’s body was found. When the couple met with Fullbright, investigators say he produced a blunt intrument and robbed them of money and jewlery.

He then struck both of them.

Deputies don’t know why Fullbright left Mrs. Staton’s body there and moved Homer Staton.
