Academy award-winning actor Anthony Hopkins has donated an original painting to Limestone College for the Theater Department’s silent auction fundraiser.

The theater department is presenting a three-man play called “Art” next week. Those who attend will be able to take part in a silent auction of art, including the ink-on-paper painting signed by Hopkins. Bidding on the painting starts at $1500.

The dates for the play are September 25, 26, and 27 at 7:30pm and a Sunday matinee at 3:00pm.

It will be held in the old Brown Furniture Building on Robinson Street in downtown Gaffney.

Money raised will be used for the Theater Department’s annual trip to New York City. Ticket prices are $6 for adults and students.
