A Polar Plunge to benefit Meals On Wheels in Asheville is scheduled for Saturday, January 3rd.  The Asheville Racquet & Fitness Club is hosting the event to benefit the charity in Asheville-Buncombe County.  Temperature are forecasted in the mid to upper 30’s and swimmers get a hot chili lunch after they make the brave dive.

The group hopes to raise $5,000 for Meals On Wheels for homebound elderly in Buncombe County.  If you do not wish to bear the cold water, you are still invited to watch!  Swimmers pay $30 to participate, which will provide a week’s worth of meals.  Chili is available for lunch with a $5 donation.

For more information, call the Asheville Racquet & Fitness Club at (828) 274-3361.
