Bauer Issues Deadline For Sanford To Resign

South Carolina Lt. Governor Andre Bauer said he would give Governor Mark Sanford until the end of October to resign.
Speaking in front of a group of senior citizens at a meeting in Anderson Thursday, Bauer said if Sanford does not step down, he would announce his intentions to run for Governor next fall. Should Sanford step down, Sanford says he would forego his plans to run for Governor and serve out the rest of Sanford’s term and not seek re-election.
Sanford, who admitted to an extramarital affair in June, has already stated that he would not resign and instead wants to focus on issues involving South Carolinians. Earlier, Sanford rejected a offer by Bauer to resign and allow Bauer to serve out the remainder of the term.
Bauer told the Independent-Mail that he would give Sanford two months to accept the offer, but he intends on doing his job. “My job is a part-time position,“ Bauer said. “I’ve taken on the office on aging. I’ve taken a pay cut and put myself on furlough. I intend to continue to do the best that I can for this state.“

Who is Andre Bauer to tell somebody they need to resign…I guess he’s been a perfect politician…I dont remember Gov. Sanford telling to him resign all these times he’s been in trouble….Truth be told most of these crooked politicians (including Bauer) have or are cheating on their wife they just havent been caught…if these elected officials would spend half the time that they have spent talking about this crap, on the task they need to worry about maybe this state and country wouldnt be in the shape it’s in…It’s a shame there was a 20 year old Marine from Gaffney died and not to mention all the other armed service men and women fighting for our country and all the politicains are worried about is who’s doing who….
When are they going to figure out Mr. Sanford is not going to quit his job? He’s already lost his family and kids, why would he quit his job too. Quit being absurd, find him another job and he might quit that one Mr. Bauer. With this economy, He would be insane to quit now. Leave the guy alone, he had an affair. Stanford has said time and time again he is not going to resign. There is only way to get him out of office.All everyone does is talk and that means nothing to Stanford.
Who does he think he is and why does he think we care. Lt. Governor for Governor what a JOKE! Andre Bauer is a joke, does he think he would win the Governor seat even if he does run? It would be a waste of his time our time and money. Maybe Bauer needs to look in his closet and release some of his skeletons, he is no saint. Its really funny that all of a sudden these letters being released anomalously to trash Sanford and Mrs. Allison are coming out. “I’m Just Saying”!!
Just wanted to say to those Rep’s who are running over the gov need to rethink because at this home we will not vote for their error.Who is without stone cast the stone.he apologized and said he was sorry.you can’t accept it then you dont get our votes.this is polictil-Just quit blowing smoke because you are the distraction,he is moving on with his job.If you can’t forgive someone when he ask for forgiveness then you wouldn’t be forgiven.I beleive what you sew is what you will reep if you don’t ask forgiveness.Thanks Mr. Sanford for asking-we forgive you.
