Officials in Cherokee County say that a teenager has become the fifth victim of a serial killer.
At a press conference held Saturday afternoon, Cherokee County officials said that 15-year old Abby Tyler died around 11:25 Saturday morning at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. Tyler was found shot, along with her father, Stephen, inside the family’s business at Tyler Home Center in Gaffney around 7:15 Thursday night. Stephen Tyler was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler says that law enforcement continues to work around the clock and follow-up on every lead and reports involving descriptions of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle. Fowler asked that people continue to pray for the Tyler family, along with the rest of the victim’s families and the Cherokee County community as a whole.
The suspect is a white man about 6’ 2”. He weighs about 250 lbs and had salt and pepper colored hair when the first witness saw him. Authorities are also saying the suspect had large blue eyes.

I am so sorry about the death of Abby…I lost a son to a gunshot wound and it was and is the loss of my life. To the person that said the sketch of this killer favored someone…wish you hadn’t posted that, because I was looking at the photo and almost KNOWING I could eventually put the face with someone I’d seen before, or even knew! Now everytime I look at the sketch all I can think about is the celebrity you mentioned. As for the bike shop murders…it did raise a question in my mind…that too was a business (and in close proximity)...so some similarity. I think the families of those (bike shop) victims must have a little hope that the killer has resurfaced and may lead to him being caught, thrown to the crowds, and get what he most definately deserves! I personally knew BS victims and have family that knew some of the recent murders, so I have a LOT of interest in WHEN is this mad man gona be caught! What if he goes underground (?) again.
this killer does not deserve a trial. he needs to be hung by the neck in front of the michael gaffney cabin on main street. the town could sell tickets and make a lot of money and i would volunteer to pull the rope on the trap door. we could also let him stand on a 5’ high block of ice and as it slowly melted we could place bets on how long it would take for him to die. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS IDEA.my prayers go out to all the victims families because their loved ones are with the heavenly father.

i went to school with abby.she was my friend.she was the sweetest girl.i dont think there was a single person who didnt like Abby.She was one of those people who got along with everyone.she will be missed

to a computer and reads these post.If so hey you coward put the gun down and come out and fight like a man you piece of crap.You crossed the line when you messed with the elder’s and now you have shot a 15 year old.we are not mean people but i hope somebody puts a bullet in you head you piece of crap
This is so sad. It is bad enough for adults life to be taken, but for a child it is so terrible. Everyone please pray for the families involved.
