Couple Robbed Outside Burlington Coat Factory

Spartanburg Public Safety is investigating an armed robbery that happened late Wednesday night outside the Burlington Coat Factory on W.O. Ezell Blvd.
The couple told officers that they were waiting to pick up a family member that was getting off work when a suspect approached the vehicle and pointed a gun at the driver. The man handed over his phone and some jewelry, his wife says she then threw her cell phone at the suspect. She says the suspect picked up the phone and ran away on foot.  Officers are still searching for the suspect.
