Waynesville police arrest two men for breaking into a reptile shop and stealing more than a two dozen snakes, frogs, lizards, and geckos.

Investigators say snakes were out of their cages and roaming through Green Desert Reptiles when they arrived at the store.

The shop owner told them someone had made a hole through the wall.  Allen Rivera told police some stole 16 snakes, 11 frogs, 3 lizards, and 2 geckos.

Police say arrested Terry Carver and Issac Sheehan.  Investigators identified them as their suspects after an employee at another pet shop in town told them Carver tried to sale him several snakes.

Police say Issac Sheehan, Carver’s nephew, brought three pillow cases full of snakes to the Magistrate’s Office after they questioned him.  The owner of Green Desert Reptiles identified the snakes in the pillow cases as his.

All, expect three snakes and all of the frogs, were recovered.

Terry Carver’s wife told police her husband set some of the reptiles free after they had an arguement.

Carver is charged with felony breaking and entering, obtaining property by false pretense, larceny, and possesion of stolen property.  Sheehan is charged with felony breaking and entering and larceny.
