Easley Man Dies In Drowning

A man is dead after he drowned in Lake Hartwell Saturday night.

Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley says that 65-year old Arnold Arthur Walker, of Easley, was pronounced dead after he fell into the water around 9 pm at the Twin Lakes Boat Landing. Kelley says that Walker was attempting to sit on a dock when he fell in the water. He was pulled to the shore by a friend, but it was too late and he died at the scene.

Kelley says that Walker was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital for an autopsy. The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
