Two emergency workers are all right after their EMS vehicle flipped on it’s side in an accident Monday morning in Cherokee County.

Cherokee County EMS says two workers were on their way to a call on Green River Road when their 1999 Ford ambulance went off the edge of the road. This was the only vehicle invovled in the accident.

The workers were taken to Upstate Carolina Medical Center in Gaffney as a precaution to be checked out.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. Troopers say both EMS workers were wearing seat belts when the accident happened.

EMS says they will conduct an internal investigation after troopers are finished with their probe.

We’re told the driver of the vehicle has been with EMS for 11 years.
