Families Of Murder Victims Gather To Remember

  An emotional night in the hub city.
 
  Family and friends of loved ones who have been lost to homicides, came together to unite at the 18th annual candlelight service of remembrance and hope.
   
  Hundreds packed Morningside Baptist Church, saying the holiday’s are the hardest time when missing a member of their family. They lit candles, and listened to music, while     showing pictures of those who are gone.

  Kathy Charles lost her dad Jerry. “He died on August the 14th of 2007, he was 65.“ “One day you get that call, and there’s nothing you can do.“

  The F.B.I reports South Carolina has the highest violent crime rate in the nation.

  Prosecutors say they’re trying to come up with solutions to deal with the problem amid budget cuts that will likely affect law enforcement.
