Father, Son Die In Laurens House Fire

Two people are dead following an early morning house fire in Laurens.
Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols says the fire claimed the lives of 29-year old Nicholas Johnson and his five-year old son Nicholas Hill. Nichols says he received the call to respond to 821 South Harper St. around 12:40 Saturday morning and pronounced the two dead at 1:06 and it appears that they died due to smoke inhalation.
The Laurens City Police is investigating the fire.
