Gov. Sarah Palin Speaks Out About Treatment By Media
Published: January 9, 2009
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is taking aim at media
coverage of her recent vice-presidential run.
Palin especially singles out a CBS interview with Katie Couric.
She says Couric was condescending, questioning the Alaska governor
about books she reads and wondering, “What do you guys do up
there?“
The Republican says news organizations respected Barack Obama’s
request that his family remain off-limits for media scrutiny. Palin
says there was a “double-standard” in her case. She talks of the
“lies” she says she and her family endured, including reports
suggesting her youngest child was not hers.
The governor says there may be a “class issue” involved,
noting what she calls the “kid gloves” treatment being given
Caroline Kennedy as she makes a bid for office.
Palin reflects on the campaign in an interview with conservative
radio talk-show host and filmmaker John Ziegler. Clips are posted
on YouTube.

Sarah Palin is a total nut job along with all the wackos who follow her! Sarah Palin is making a total butt of herself. It’s so painful to watch. Palin complains about how the media is being unfair to her and her family. Does Palin think she is the first person to have the media discuss her family? Anytime you run for office, America and the media are going to want to know about you. Especially, if you are unknown. Palins life was riddled with scandal. Palin should have had tougher skin. The thing that makes me chuckle, is that she complains about the media. Then she reaches out to the media to complain. To make things worse she contradicts herself all the time. Hmmm…I think someone is just trying to stay in the media. If she would just shut up and disappear no one would have anything to say. In fact, America will forget what an uneducated, backwater idiot she was.
I admit I did not see the interview with Ms. Couric, but in the news I read direct quotes made by Gov. Palin. She continuously condemned and criticized then Sen. Obama, so I really don’t see why she would complain about what the press is writing on her now. Of course she could have spoken kind and complimentary statements about then Sen. Obama, so my statement could be wrong.
As for the press’s treatment of Caroline Kennedy - she has spoken more kind and complimentary words of others than harsh one’s. Also, she grew up surrounded by a very political family which Gov. Palin apparently hadn’t, so Caroline has a lot more respect from the press. With all those dominate males in her family, do we really think Caroline would speak or vote foolishly?
