Deputies say they have exhausted all their leads in the case of missing Simpsonville woman, Julia Vess.

They have eliminated her husband as a suspect in her disappearance.

The family of Julia Vess is offering a $10,000 dollar reward.  “We hope money will motivate someone who wouldn’t normally care,“  Art Basler said.  Basler has been searching for his mother for several days.  She disappeared Sunday.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office searched by air for Julia Ann Vess.  Phone records have also been checked with no activity generated on the missing womans cell phone.

Deputy Matthew Armstrong says investigators are researching the last known whereabouts of Vess. Authorities are also talking with people who may have recently seen or been in contact with her.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking you to be on the look out for Vess’s vehicle, which is a 2004 silver Toyota Corolla with South Carolina license plate AGN309.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME, or the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office at 271-5210.  Information leading to her whereabouts may result in a reward up to $10,000.00

It saddens me since this story first came out.  We can only go by what the local news media gives us for info though.  My deepest sympathy for the family, I myself couldn’t imagine going through that out of the blue like that.

I’m following this as closely as I can. I noticed in one of the initial articles :

http://www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp?S=10415034&nav=0RaPdcTI

It states that it is unknown what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance. Now on these new flyers, it indicates red top & khaki pants. I realize that this could be due to detectives choosing what info, and when to release to the public. Anyone know?
Still praying for the family as they all go through this extraordinary nightmare.

well then you have to stop judging media critic’s opinion too…are you all in a position to judge media critic?

we all have opinions that may agree or disagree with our own.

stick to the issue at hand, a missing wife, mother, sister etc. If you pray, then pray, if you wish, then wish, but ask yourselves what you would prefer if you were the one missing when foul play is suspected.

The world would be a better, safer place if everyone remembered the “Golden Rule”, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you….

“Concerned”, I couldn’t agree more! “media critic”- I don’t see any point to your comment, other than to mock others who may have different views than your own. Do you really presume to be so “all- knowing” that you find yourself in a position to judge, and insult others? I find your comment to be insensitive, condescending, and foolish. I’m so glad that in spite of such a horrific incident (no matter what “really” happened), YOU were able to voice your self- important judgements. Congratulations.

I am praying for Mrs. Vess as well.

“Media Critic” I do not think your comment is appropriate considering this family’s situation.  Now is the time to show encouragement and support for these people, not mock other people’s beliefs.

Why is everyone have to be praying? Wish in one hand and pray in the other and see which one fills up faster. I am sending you flightful fancies between me and an imaginary force!

I would like the family to know that we are praying for all involved. We live right across the street, and a couple houses down, but we’ve never met. Just wanted to offer concern & prayers.

“SHE’S NEVER BEEN GONE THIS LONG BEFORE” SOUNDS KIND OF FISHY TO ME…

DO IT MEAN SHE HAS TAKEN OFF FOR DAYS BEFORE?OR DOES IT MEAN SOMETHING ELSE?

WOMEN DON’T USUALLY “TAKE OFF” WITHOUT LETTING SOMEBODY KNOW WHERE SHE’S GOING…

I am also praying for her safe return…I can only imagine how her children are missing their Mom.  The family, as well, are in my prayers.
