Shea Smith with the Greenville County Sheriff’s office say the couple were found unharmed in Anderson and have been reunited with family members.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is investigated the disappearance of a couple from Greer.  Deputies received a call around 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning received a call from the daughter of Nona and William Morgan, who reported that her parents had been missing since sometime during the day on Saturday.  The sheriff’s office says daughter, Cathy Bailey, reported that she talked with her mother around 10:00 am on Saturday but had not been able to make contact since that time.  Investigators say when Bailey went to their residence she found that both parents were gone along with their vehicle, a 2002 Buick Century, 4 door, Champagne color with South Carolina tag DWR-367.

The sheriff’s office incident report states Bailey told deputies that thre were unusual things at the home such as the back door was closed but not locked, the family dog was outside and is usually inside, Mrs. Morgan’s purse and wallet were inside the home, and Mr. Morgan’s ball cap that he always wears was left at the home. Deputies say they did not find any evidence of forced entry or foul play.

Mrs. Bailey told law enforcement both of her parents were in the early stage of Alzheimer’s and that her father suffers from Dementia.

Deputies learned later Sunday morning that Mr. Morgan was seen late on Saturday afternoon driving his car in the area where they live.  The Sheriff’s Office has checked all local hospitals, family members and friends but has not been able to locate the Morgan’s.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 271-5210 or Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
