Woman Jumped, Choked And Robbed In Her Backyard - Suspect At Large

Greenville County deputies are investigating a violent attack on a woman near the backyard of her home.

The incident happened around 8pm Wednesday night on Cole Road.

The Sheriff’s Office tells News Channel 7 that a woman was attempting to enter her home when a man passing by approached her, and tried to rob her.

When she fled towards the back yard, the suspect chased, then tackled the woman.

He then pulled out a wire and began strangling her.

The victim has a history of seizures, and began having one.

The suspect then took her purse, and left the scene. 

The victim was taken to Greenville Memorial with possible broken ribs, cuts and bruises. She is expected to be ok.

Deputies are still searching for the suspect. A detailed description is not available.

What is wrong with this article:.

“The incident happened around 8pm Thursday evening on Cole Road.“ Today is Thursday and the evening has not come yet since it is only 9:15AM.  Did this happen yesterday, or last THURSDAY?
