A Greenwood High School football player was arrested and charged with assault and battery with intent to kill.

Stankivis Romond Rollison, 18, was also charged with and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime by the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say Rollison was connected to a shooting at the Topaz Club early Sunday morning. Deputies were called to the scene at 12:30am and said they were told someone had been shot.

Investigators say they found 11 spent shell casings in the parking lot along with bags of what they suspected were crack cocaine and marijuana according to the incident report. Deputies also spotted what appeared to be blood.

Deputies spoke to the victim at Self Regional Hospital. He had been wounded in the arm, but is expected to be all right after several surgeries.

Rollinson was released from the Greenwood Detention Center Wednesday on $41,000 bond according to the Sheriff’s Office.

He is listed as a senior fullback and linebacker on the 2009 Greenwood HS Eagles football roster.
