RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Democrat Kay Hagan is focusing on veterans as she prepares to make her transition to the U.S. Senate.

Hagan will participate in three events Tuesday. She will host a veterans briefing at the State Fairgrounds with three of her future colleagues—North Carolina Reps. David Price, Bob Etheridge and Brad Miller.

After the event in Raleigh, she will also participate in two Veterans Day events in her hometown of Greensboro.

Hagan unseated Republican Sen. Elizabeth Dole in last week’s election.
