Highway Patrol Motorcycle Fire in Taylors

A Highway Patrol motorcycle caught fire Friday morning as the trooper was riding it.
The incident happened around 11 am at the Publix shopping center on Wade Hampton.
The trooper tells News Channel 7 he was riding the motorcycle when he felt his legs getting hot.
He says he looked down and the motorcycle was on fire. The trooper was not injured.

Hate that this happened cause that had to be frightening to look down and see fire between your legs. On my way to work this morning about 7:45 there was a trooper on a motorcycle that had a Jeep pulled over about a mile toward Greer from the location of the fire. If this was the same trooper I bet there’s a Jeep owner out there right now with his fist pumped in the air hollering “SWEET!!!!!!“

Well that is an intersting article.  It did not state what caused the cycle to catch fire….I know when he felt the fire he was shocked!
