Hollywild Baby Yak Named

Inman, SC - More than 1200 people visited Hollywild Animal Park during the baby naming contest for the park’s new baby yak. Of the entries submitted, animal staffers at the park selected the name Kii-Yak (pronounced kayak) for the baby yak. 

The entry came from Melissa White of Spartanburg, SC.  She will receive a gift certificate to the park’s Zoovenir Shop to commemorate her special contribution to Hollywild’s history.

Kii-Yak continues to enjoy life at Hollywild and is growing quickly.  She still lives in the Yak habitat in the front park with her parents where visitors can see her during our fall hours of 10 AM – 5 PM on Saturdays and Sundays or if coming with groups by appointment on weekdays.
